If you don’t know, now you know: I love grilling. I got myself a charcoal BBQ this summer. Now that I live away from the familia, I have to cook the meats on my own. Charcoal love is a complicated love but I think I finally got the hang of it and invited some pals over before a shoot.
Grilling in my MLB all-start game shirt from 1991; a recent thrifted find that I love and therefore cut the sleeves off to enjoy all summer.
Grilled romaine is incredible. Charcoal does magical things.
Now to digest and change. Grilling does make you smell like campfire so it doesn’t quite find me at my best in terms of outfits.
Here we go. More ASOS and thrifted pairings. I really do need to branch out but I’ve dropped the t-shirt and cut-offs look so I’m getting there.
These glasses are my new(ish) faves. Got them at 312 Optical. The dude has a lot of vintage stock for real cheap.
Man in the mirror: we go deep (and get no sleep)
Shoutout Kerry Washington on the cover of Vanity Fair (Scandal, baby).
Shoutout to that chair I found on the street.
Shoutout to the sandals I wore all summer and that have peaced the fuck out since this.

Grilled romaine–I’ll have to try that out! I would have guessed that it would lose too much water and get limp, but maybe not?
it does get limp and you can’t leave it on too long. the flavour that comes out is quite nice and smoky, especially with some balsamic vinegar. thanks for reading!
